The Parmesan melts secretly beneath the Brussels sprouts, as if hiding there and saying, "Shh, I'm the real sensation here." Kitty peers into the oven, hears it bubbling gently, and the vegetables suddenly look like a little golden surprise. She tastes it, grins broadly, and thinks: I just wanted Brussels sprouts—now I'm eating a crispy, secret stash of cheesy happiness.
Ingredients
400 g Brussels sprouts (cleaned)
100 g Parmesan
80 g butter
3 cloves garlic (crushed)
Salt & Pepper
preparation
Clean the Brussels sprouts and cut them in half.
Melt the butter, garlic, salt and pepper in a small saucepan.
Preheat the oven to 180°C fan.
Pour 2/3 of the melted butter into a baking dish and spread it evenly over the bottom of the dish.
Sprinkle the Parmesan over the butter and mix.
Place the Brussels sprout halves flat-side down on the butter, garlic, and Parmesan mixture.
Brush the remaining melted butter over the Brussels sprouts.
Place the baking dish in the oven and bake the Brussels sprouts for about 25-30 minutes, until they are tender and the Parmesan is golden brown.
Bon appetit!
