Kitty actually just wanted to clean the kitchen. Instead, she suddenly stands there, angrily squashing broccoli florets as if processing an unanswered message with each blow. She slaps Parmesan on top, puts it in the oven, and leans back, thinking: Therapy in green—and crispy.

Ingredients

  • 1 broccoli (in florets, cooked in salted water)

  • 100 g Parmesan

  • olive oil

  • Salt

  • sweet peppers

preparation

  1. Cook the broccoli in lightly salted water until tender but still firm to the bite.

  2. Make sure it doesn't get too soft.

  3. Then drain the cooked broccoli and let it drain.

  4. Preheat the oven to 220°C top/bottom heat.

  5. Line a baking tray with baking paper and place the broccoli florets on it.

  6. Gently flatten the broccoli florets slightly on the baking sheet using a glass or other flat object.

  7. Prepare a mixture of olive oil, salt and paprika.

  8. Generously coat the broccoli florets with this seasoning mix so that they are well flavored all over.

  9. Spread the grated Parmesan cheese evenly over the broccoli.

  10. Bake the broccoli in the preheated oven until crispy and golden brown.

  11. This usually takes about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on the desired crispiness.

  12. Once the broccoli is golden brown, remove the baking sheet from the oven and let the broccoli cool slightly before serving.

The toasted Parmesan cheese forms a delicious crust on the broccoli, adding extra crunch and flavor to the dish. Enjoy crispy broccoli fresh from the oven as a delicious side dish or snack.

Bon appetit!
